First Fundraising Event

I held my first fundraising event on October 27th. I thought it would be a good idea to get an early start on the fundraising this year. Naturally, the Red Head Estate finds any and all reasons to throw a celebration but I added a little twist to this celebration. The Knights of Columbus in Weymouth generously donated the space for this event and soon our annual Halloween party at the Red Head Estate turned into "Making lasting Halloween Memories" at the Knight of Columbus in Weymouth. I raised $500 from the event and I am pretty sure everyone had a good time. Thank you to all of you that attended and contributed to this event.

2007 Marathon Day

Although, this was not my first marathon or my best marathon it was the most inspirational marathon. To be able to run with 20 other people that are also affected by Alzheimer's disease in some way and to be able to run in honor of my grandparents made this marathon one I will never forget.

I will be honest and say that this was probably one of the hardest marathons I have run. I have run this marathon three other times but all the other times the weather was sunny and warm. This year the weather was rainy and cool. Instead of looking at this variable as a down fall I looked at it as a new challenge. I knew I could run and finish the Boston Marathon but could I run and finish the Boston Marathon in the rain? With the help and support from family and friends I finished yet again another Boston marathon.
